Hi fun blog readers. I hope everyone is having a fantastic holiday season. I have been so busy getting everyone’s photos proofed and orders shipped in time for Christmas that the blog has kind of gotten behind. I do have lots of fun sessions getting ready to be blogged so stay tuned.
I wanted to take a moment today to talk about a special contest I will be running until Christmas. I have so much to be thankful for. My husband and I have been so blessed this year and I wanted to find a way to give back. I know with the recent changes in the economy not so many people are as fortunate as we are. That is why I am going to be giving away a complimentary package to a needy couple or family.
I am sure we all know a couple getting married soon who can’t afford the wedding they always dreamed of. It could be a recent bride who wasn’t able to get the pictures she wanted and wants to do an after-the-fact bridal session. Or a young family having a baby who doesn’t think they can afford a maternity or newborn session. You might know a high school senior who would otherwise not be able to get senior portraits. Or you might know a family that has fallen on hard times who would love to have an updated family portrait.
I want to know who your friends are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography. The winning entry will receive either a wedding package valued at $1,200 or portrait services valued at $500. The person who nominates the winner will also receive a $100 print credit. So get nominating, it is in your power to help your friends get the artwork they would love this holiday season.
The rules: You cannot nominate yourself and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. The nominee must reside in Utah or eastern Idaho. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself. The winner along with their story will be shared on this blog. I will pick one family and one wedding couple. Let’s do some good. I can’t wait to read all of your entries! Open your heart to someone this holiday season — and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.
E-mail nominations to info (at) erinlangford (dot) com.
This is part of a nationwide initiative. If the person you want to nominate lives outside my area check out the Giving is Awsome website to find a photographer in their area.
