Rebecca and Scott: Bountiful Temple Wedding

Here is another beautiful beautiful wedding from back in August that I haven’t had the chance to blog.  Meet Rebecca and Scott. If Rebecca looks familiar it is because I photographed her sister Elizabeth’s wedding just two weeks before. Both weddings took place at the same venues but each wedding was very unique. Their family did a great job making sure each bride got to put her own personality into her special day. Congrats again!

Year in review 2011

End of another year already. Thanks to all of my wonderful clients and friends who helped make this last year so special. It was a great year and I hope next year is even better. Here is a little recap of some of my favorite images from this blog in 2011. If you are lucky you might even see a picture of yourself.

Lindsey bridals

We had a wonderful time at Lindsey’s bridal session. Isn’t she gorgeous! Lindsey is another one of Dan’s beautiful cousins. We are so excited that she found such a nice guy to marry. It was so fun to spend time with her and her mom and I think the photos turned out awesome. Congrats again Lindsey!

Hey there,

I just found you on the DWF so I thought I’d swing by and take a look at your work. I really enjoyed your photos and I love your editing style and feel. I’m a wedding photographer as well (My company is called Mykkah Photography around Washington D.C. / central Virginia) and I can totally appreciate the efforts behind the photos… Keep up the great work!

Best regards,

-Micah

Heart Galley 2011

This is the third year I have gotten to shoot for The Utah Heart Gallery. This year I photographed Juan and his brother Jesus. I was thrilled to learn that these sweet boys were recently placed with a family. The Utah Heart Gallery, helps place foster children into permanent homes and photographers all over Utah help by creating portraits that show how sweet these kids are. It greatly increases their odds of being adopted if they have a professional looking picture in their adoption profile. There is also a traveling exhibit that will be at the Ogden Union Station in January. So be sure to check it out.

This year I got interviewed by a reporter from the Spanish edition of The Salt Lake Tribune. I don’t speak Spanish but if you do you can read the article here. Kind of fun.

More info about the Heart Gallery and to see photos of all the kids click here.

Just a few announcements today,

I wanted to do something extra special this year, so this this week in honor of Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Small Business Saturday and all that I’m offering 20% off the purchase of gift certificates from now through the end of the week, December 3. Gift certificates can be used for yourself, or would make a wonderful Christmas gift. The gift certificates come beautifully printed and packaged to make a great stocking stuffer or box under your tree. I don’t do sales very often and this is the only time of year where I discount my gift certificates.

You can get the gift certificates in any amount, but here are a few examples… With the 20% off

a $100 Gift Certificate will only be $80
a $200 Gift Certificate will only be $160
