End of another year already. Thanks to all of my wonderful clients and friends who helped make this last year so special. It was a great year and I hope next year is even better. Here is a little recap of some of my favorite images from this blog in 2011. If you are lucky you might even see a picture of yourself.

Brie and Steve: Red rock bridals

I had the pleasure of photographing Brie and Steve’s bridals in Moab this fall. They were married in October in the Salt Lake Temple. Aren’t they darling together. Brie was such a trooper climbing around these rocks in her dress. Congratulations Brie and Steve.

Wow, what a crazy month. With all the holiday orders and family stuff it has been awhile since I been able to make a post. Rest assured I am still alive and I have lots of great shoots to share with you soon. Up now is the beautiful Natalie. We are so excited that this beautiful gal will be joining our family next week.

Maddee and Brett: Bountiful Temple wedding

Maddee and Brett were married on a beautiful fall day at the Bountiful Utah Temple. The weather was gorgeous — it was more like summer. There was lots of love and smiles all around. I loved all the beautiful yellow flowers and the decorations and the food was fantastic. They had their reception at the Weber State University Alumni Center. Dan and I had our reception there and it was so fun to go back. It is a great venue. Congrats Maddee and Brett on starting your life together!

Natalie and Joey

Dan’s little brother is getting married. Hazzah! We are so excited for Natalie to join the family in December. These two are darling together and I am so glad Joey found a girl as cool and as talented as Natalie. I was honored to take their engagement pictures. We had a great time and they were gracious enough to let me try out some new spots. Thanks for a wonderful evening guys — you were awesome and I think the pictures turned out great. Love you guys.

Heather and Jeff: The wedding

Heather and Jeff were married in an intimate ceremony in the mountains near Snowbasin. Only their parents were invited to attend. Jeff had just returned a week before from serving our country in Afghanistan. After being apart for so long these two were eager to finally be married. It was a beautiful ceremony and a beautiful location. I think having such a small group made for an extra special ceremony. Sometimes I think people get so caught up in decorations and cakes that the most important part of the wedding — the ceremony — is almost an afterthought. Heather and Jeff, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your special day. It was beautiful.

A special thanks goes out to my friend Lizzie for coming and being my second shooter. Lizzie is awesome and I can’t believe how much talent she has and she is still in high school! She is certain to go far. If any of you photographers out there need a second shooter check her out here.

Dayloni and Markus: Salt Lake Temple wedding

Dayloni and Markus were married on a chilly day at the Salt Lake Temple. Dayloni is from Pocatello, my old stompin’ ground, and Markus is from Salt Lake City. Dayloni had a super cute style and these two lovebirds really knew how to heat things up on such a cold day. I had the pleasure of shooting their wedding with my friends from Emily and Nate Photographers. Emily and Nate are super fun, so if you are in the Idaho Falls area and need a photographer check them out.

Saturday, December 12, Alta Moda Bridal Boutique will host its annual sample sale. This is Alta Moda’s best sale of the year. If you are looking for a designer gown but not wanting to pay a designer price this is your chance. (Just imagine a Monique Lhuillier gown for under $1,000…yes, you read that right).

Here are some details about the sample sale from Alta Moda owner Hilary Anderson:

This is our one big sale of the year including more than 50 couture wedding dresses discounted 50% – 85%, with gowns starting as low as $400.

Good things to know:

• Sale hours are 10am – 5pm, December 12th only
• No appointments: First come, First served (wait list)
• Gowns are sold as is
• No holds and all sales final
• Most gown are suited for street sizes 4-12
• We only do this once a year, so now is the time
• Space is limited; bring along only the key decision makers
