a nicu story

As most of you know our sweet little girl was born 10 weeks early back in March and spent six and a half weeks in the NICU. When I was pregnant I really wanted to do a birth story but it didn’t end up happening because our baby was so early and came so fast. Instead my friend Vivien come and did photos of us in the NICU. I had her capture some of the everyday things we did with Margaret while she was there, things like changing her diaper, feeding her, reading a story, etc. I was thrilled with how they turned out. If you are looking for someone to do a birth story or baby pictures check her out. I can’t thank Vivien enough for the priceless images of our family. Here is a little slideshow she put together of our shoot. These pictures were taken when Margaret was one month old.

Congrats on the feature:)

Welcome baby girl

Surprise…. She’s here. A lot earlier than expected, but so sweet and perfect. We are both doing really well and she just needs to grow a little bit before we can bring her home.

It has been a roller coaster ride getting her here and we are so glad she is here safe and healthy. I am pretty open about sharing our experience so if anyone wants to hear  my story about infertility, gestational diabetes, bedrest or having a baby in NICU let me know. She is my little miracle baby in many ways.

Thanks to all my wonderful clients and friends who have been so supportive. My brides and clients truly are my friends and I appreciate all of you who have left sweet messages on my Facebook wall. I will be back taking sessions this summer and I still have a few sessions to post from before I went on bedrest. So stay tuned for those.

As promised here are more pictures of Adeline and Josh this time decked out in their wedding finest. Aren’t they so cute together. Adeline’s dress came from Alta Moda Bridal, one of my favorite bridal shops in Salt Lake City. If you are looking for a designer dress in Utah this is the place to go.
