  • Welcome to my Blog!

Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Erin Langford and I am a wedding and lifestyle photographer. I love taking pictures! I am always looking for ways to make my work look unique and creative. I have a photojournalism background, so I love to capture life as it happens.

This blog is where I post pictures from recent sessions and other fun stuff. You might also find out a bit about me and who I am. I love my husband and I love my job. I'd love to hear from you so leave a comment and say hi! If you are interested in booking a session, have any questions or if you just want to say hi, send me a message. Thanks for visiting and check back often to see what I'm up to.

Bride’s Choice Award

We won! I was chosen by Wedding Wire for a 2010 Brides Choice Award. Winners were based on reviews by past brides. Winning this award means Erin Langford Photography is in the top five percent of wedding vendors nationwide. I feel so honored to be recognized because it means all my brides were happy enough to give me such great reviews. Thanks everyone for all the support — especially for my brides who gave me such kind reviews. I am glad you loved your experience with us. Can’t wait to see where we go this year!

Okay, first of all those metal pictures are AWESOME. So cool. And love the giveaway….all the vendors look great, and of course the photography will be amazing. Good luck to all the brides.

Holy Cow, I’ll get remarried for all that.

Wedding idea: Generations

This next wedding idea comes from Hannah and Neal’s wedding. At their reception they had a display of wedding pictures from each of their parents and grandparents. Their picture from that morning at the temple was the crowning touch on a great display. I thought it was a sweet idea and all of the guests seemed to enjoy it. I would like to incorporate something like this in my own home sometime — I just need to track down a few more photographs.

I love this idea! Now I am going to have to get on finding pictures like this. I want my kids to know who their grandparents and great grandparents are and were and this is a great way to do it.
Thanks for Sharing!
Rachael

Metal prints

These beautiful prints are printed on a sheet of aluminum. They are archival, waterproof and scratch resistant. They also don’t require framing. Metal prints come in a variety of sizes and are now available in the proofing gallery for client prints and fine art prints. Here are a few pictures of some of these gorgeous metal prints I have gotten in recently.

They come on a single sheet of metal. . .

or two sheets of metal.

Wedding idea: The candy bar

I am starting a new feature here on the blog where I will be highlighting some of my favorite wedding ideas. I go to lots of weddings and receptions and I thought it would be fun to share some of the pictures of unique ideas that I have seen at past weddings. A lot of times these details don’t make it into my posts about that particular wedding overall. I know a lot of my brides for this coming year are just now in the beginning stages of planning their wedding so it might be helpful to some of them. Let me know what you think.

This particular idea I have seen a few times and these pictures are from Marianne and Andrew’s wedding that I helped shoot with Dustin Izatt at the Zermatt Resort. The basic idea is to have jars of different candies in your wedding colors that guests can make a bag of to take home and enjoy. These always seem to be very popular with guests. Here are a few pics of the idea in action.

Candy bars also make an excellent backdrop for ring shots. Yummy!

Sodenkamp Family: Utah Family Photographer

Sodenkamp106

I am back! I had a great holiday with my family and it was great to take a few days off. Now I am back and have a lot of new and exciting things I have planned for the year. I have a lot of shoots I need to catch up with on the blog so here we go.

I have been doing a lot of family portraits lately. Dan and I had a great time with the Sodenkamp family at Antelope Island awhile back. They totally rocked their family portrait session. Isn’t their little Sophie as cute as a button? I love shooting at Antelope Island because there is so much variety in the landscape. It is so beautiful there! Thanks Sodenkamps it was great to get to know you guys and I hope you love your pictures. I sure do.
