Marcel and Kameron were married on a beautiful fall day at The Garden Place at This is the Place Heritage Park. They live in Oklahoma but have a lot of family in Utah and love our beautiful mountains so they wanted to get married in Salt Lake City. It was a privilege to be able to photograph their wedding.
Everyone was so nice and I loved all of the beautiful details. Marcel is Samoan — all of the Polynesian wedding traditions and performances by her and her family were fantastic. They really knew how to party. Congratulations Marcel and Kameron. I hope you have a wonderful life together!
Marcel's father had passed away so her two brothers walked her down the aisle. I don't think there was a dry eye in the room when Marcel danced with her brothers to "Dance with my Father" during the daddy-daughter dance. "If I could get another chance Another walk Another dance with him I'd play a song that would never ever end How I'd love love love To dance with my father again"
Then Kameron danced with his mom to "Let Them Be Little." More tears. Totally reminded me of my little girls and how they like to sleep in bed with us. Girls you can come to sleep in mommy's room whenever you want. I know you will grow up soon. "So let them be little, cause they're only that way for a while. Give them hope, give them praise, give them love, every day. Let em cry, let em giggle, let them sleep in the middle. Oh, just let them be little"
Marcel is Samoan and she and her family entertained everyone with some traditional dances. It was fantastic.
