What’s your favorite part about being in wedding stationery industry? I love being a part of both the wedding and stationery industries! It’s an amazing opportunity getting to know other folks in the business as well as helping customers find and create the perfect piece of stationery to help celebrate whatever special event is going on in someone’s life.
What makes you stand out from your competitors, are all vendors in stationery industry equal? We are one of the only companies who offer a vast range of colors and the ability to utilize them on almost every invitation design, in any way. We feel that our 180+ custom color options and endless customizations are our biggest draw.*What are the benefits of using your company to make my wedding invitation versus doing it yourself?* The benefits are high-quality prints and an expertly designed invitation with the added benefit of designer assistance. Designing off of a pre-made template gives you structure and a starting place making it easier to tweak a design exactly the way you've envisioned as opposed to starting from scratch.
How far in advance should a bride book/inquire about your services and why? For a wedding, about 8+ months out we suggest couples start picking colors and ordering samples. 4+ months out save the dates should be ordered and sent followed by wedding invitations 3+ months out. We have three shipping options with out standard shipping being 7-10 business days.
What is a consultation/first meeting typically like? Basic Invite is an online stationery company so unless a customer seeks out active interaction with us, it is really up to them to build their design. We do have a live chat feature on our website for questions as well as a customer service line available during all business hours. Each interaction is different depending on what the customer is inquiring about and what their needs are. We're always here to help!
If applicable, what is your favorite package/product/service and why do you recommend it the most? Our Seal and Send Wedding Invitations are one of our newest product lines and come highly recommended. They're an all-in-one wedding invitation with a tear-off RSVP card and no envelope needed. Each invitation folds up with pre-printed addressing on the front and are sealed with a custom sticker. They're chic and innovative!
What are some fun secrets about your industry? Mac computers have the closest pigmentation to real life color. So, customizing your invitations on a Mac versus a PC will give you the truest color when your invites arrive. But always a order a sample first for reference!
What do you wish photographers and other professionals knew about your industry? When styling wedding invitations they look best when photographed straight up and down rather than diagonal.
