Had so much fun getting to Alanah and her sweet family. It has been a privilege to work with such talented kids. Not only talented but such kind human beings.
"When I say she is talented and driven, I remember her falling in love with the flute one Christmas while in a choir and deciding it was her instrument. A little over a year later, she is ready to be the first kid in her band to ever pass off all of her teachers scales etc." — Mom
"Alanah always comes into student council ready to work and with a great attitude. She never waits for others to do things but takes charge and starts projects herself. When other student council members did not show up to a school fundraiser, she volunteered with a smile on her face to stay the entire time. She is involved in many activities in school and still maintains stellar grades." — Caroline Hagman: Student Council Sponsor/Science Teacher
"Alanah loves animals and talking to her friends — especially when those friends have fur. She likes to go to the animal shelter and take care of the animals who don't have homes. Now if we can just get her to stop trying to bring them all home." — Dad
"Her confidence is great! At her last audition, I stood nervous down the hall and was so touched when I heard how she just blew people away. I hope she always has the confidence to knock it out of the park with whatever she goes for." — Mom
"I married her Grandpa Tate five years ago. Right from the beginning I was her Grandma with no questions asked and she’s always treated me like she’s known me her whole life.My life has changed for the better simply because Alanah is in it. As stated above, I am her grandma in no uncertain terms. Coming into a new family that can be a hard change for children and Alanah just included me from the very first day. I see her joining in with my grandchildren like they have always been her cousins. When I come to visit, she runs and gives me a hug and likes to be around me telling me what is going on and just holding my hand." — Grandma Dawn
"Stay the same sweet, caring girl that you are right now. Remember that you have an amazing gift to help others. Not everyone will like you but... THAT’s OKAY!!! Stay true to yourself and your values because that is all that matters." — Michelle Collings, Teacher
